The Importance of Love in a Marriage Relationship

Most of the time love is very misunderstood. This is because there are a lot of people who think that love is an emotion or a feeling. While love does bring about emotions, true love is not necessarily something that you feel. This is really important to understand when you are in a marriage relationship because sometimes the feelings that you may associate with love will fade away for a while. You really need to understand that love is a decision to act and treat someone in a specific way. As such, love really has a lot more to do with the way that you treat someone then the way that you feel. In a marriage relationship it is about the commitment that you have chosen to make to the person that you married. As such, love is a promise. When you got married, you promised to love, you did not promise to feel a certain way. You should remember that this promise was made for better, or for worse.

What You Need To Know About a Marriage Relationship

Love is necessary in the marriage relationship because since your feelings will come and go. Sometimes you will get angry or your feelings will get hurt and then you will not feel the emotions of love. This is not going to be something that is easy to do. There will be times when the good feelings are there and other times when they will have disappeared for a while. Nevertheless, you need to remember that you have committed yourself to constantly love, not the feeling that shows up sometimes and disappears at others. A lot of people have a marriage relationship that ends because a spouse has been drawn into a cheating relationship. This new relationship has been brought about by feelings of lust. These are feelings that can and often do change. Therefore, it is wise not to follow every feeling that flows throughout you.

You also should know that comparing your partner to someone else is wrong because it takes your focus away from you as a couple and your attention is then drawn to the persona and their problems. This is why it is so easy to get caught up in an extramarital affair. By remembering your commitment to your relationship you will be able to get through the difficult times in life without being tempted to cheat.
